How to Start a Community

Enjoy safer, cleaner spaces. Muze lets community moderators set and enforce their own rules in real time, blocking posts and comments that break them before they cause harm.

Note: Creating a community is an exclusive feature that requires a Premium @username.

Step 1: Open Communities Tab

Open the Communities tab from the top left navigation bar on your dashboard.

Step 2: Start a Community

In the right-hand sidebar, under Communities, click Start a community.

Step 3: Fill in Details & Set Community Type

In the modal, set up your community’s basic info and privacy:

• Community Name:
  Enter a unique name (up to 50 characters).

• Bio:
  Add a short description of your community (up to 240 characters).

• Community Type:
  Choose Public (anyone can view/post) or Private (only approved members).

• Explicit Content (18+):
  Turn this on if your community includes mature content.

Step 4: Launch Your Community

Click the orange Start Your Community button at the bottom of the modal.

A Success screen will confirm your community is live. From there, click the orange post icon to share your first welcome message to the community feed.

Step 5: Post Your Welcome Message

Type your message in the text box and click Post to publish your first welcome thread.

Step 6: View Your Post

After you click Post, a confirmation banner appears with a View Post button. Click it to open your thread.
